Two days of Music!
This year's festival has been set to two days of concerts, all of which will be
held at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. Located on The Cincinnati
riverfront of the Ohio River.
What is the Macy's Music Festival?
The festival began in 1962, a
pure jazz event at Carthage Fairgrounds. It evolved into the largest rhythm and
blues festival in the country, with a total economic impact of $25 million,
according to to a 2000 report released by the Greater Cincinnati Center for
Economic Education at the University of Cincinnati. It is more than just
a concert, it's an event! It's a place for people-watch, eat, drink, shop,
mingle, relax, soak in the rays, and of course hear some of the world's finest
contemporary music. This year's lineup will be one the most diverse and
electrifying in the Festival's history. The incredible combination of R&B,
Hip-Hop and Jazz offers musical variety for every taste.
Since its inception in 1962, the Festival has continually showcased the biggest
names in contemporary music. Past performers include David Sanborn, Luther Vandross, Randy Crawford, Will Downing, Grover Washington, Jr., George Duke,
Chaka Kahn, Patti LaBelle, Maysa, Nancy Wilson, Al Jarreau, and many, many more.
